My self-published short story is actually selling!!
My short story, Expectant, has sold 20 copies as of right now! I definitely did not think I'd be even near double digits with sales. I was expecting maybe 3 or 4 copies for family and close friends, but I'm blown away by people actually reading and reviewing my work. It feels a little scary but mostly exciting lol.
Monthly Reading
I've been slacking on my reading so far this month. I've been in a bit of a slump, but currently I'm about 25% through Catching Fire (Hunger Games # 2) by Suzanne Collins and 50% done with The Butcher's Masquerade (DCC # 5) by Matt Dinniman. These are both rereads but Catching Fire I haven't read in probably 12+ years, and my plan is to reread the whole series so I can catch up! I never read The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and I definitely haven't read Sunrise on the Reaping yet, so I'm excited to get to those! As far as DCC, I've already ready all 7 of those books, but I'm jogging my memory with the ebooks so I can listen to the audiobook for book 7. The physical edition came out in November and I flew through that, but the audiobook just came out in February and I want to listen to Jeff Hayes work his magic.
Website Updates
I spent a good portion of my Tuesday completely redoing my website. Goodreads requires you to have an author site before you can have an author profile on there, so I figured I might as well make something that looks nice. I'm also going to try to commit to using this blog - but we will see!
I'm really excited because this new site I put together has a section for a book pick of the month on my home page, so for April I chose When the Wolf Comes Home by Nat Cassidy!
New projects to come
I'm currently working on a new book. Hoping this one will be more like a 400 page novel instead of a 50 page short story, but I have A LOT of work to do. It's still just a baby idea in my brain mostly, but I'm getting more put down in words every day. My characters are coming together and I'm having a good time with where it's going so far.
